Rubén Bautista ?-1990
I took this portrait of Rubén Bautista in San Miguel de Allende before he died.
Rubén Bautista was an artist and curator. He was born in San Miguel de Allende (I do not know when), studied in England and worked in Amsterdam in the Stedelijk Museum, the Whitechappel Gallery in London and the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City. He was the curator of La Quiñonera. Died of AIDS in Mexico City in 1990.

Hi,
I recently came across the posting you did on Ruben Bautista (http://rubenortiztorres.org/for_the_record/2007/06/rubn-bautista-1990.html). He was my uncle and me and my family would like to know how you knew him. My mother's name is Elvia Luna (the second youngest of my uncle's family) and he died when I was about a year old. I was curious about him since we have many of his painings in our house and because one of my cousins wanted to do a thesis on him and was gathering information. I came across the picture and I couldn't believe it!

it started a couple of weeks ago, the keyboard and touch pad stopped working, thought it must be a virus so ran scans with AVG and Avira but nothing showed, the problem seems intermittent, sometimes everything seems fine and then it all goes weired again usually starting with the curser either not responding or jumping all over the screen and sometimes disappearing altogether. I have ran C cleaner, Spy-bot and a couple of hours ago cleaned the registry with Reg-cure, apparently I had over 2000 problems, none of these made any difference. I decided to do a full recovery but when I follow the instructions and try to boot from the recovery disc it just tries to boot normally and asks for my account password which I cant enter because the keyboard ain't working.
